Onida 40 iTube Smart LED TV Review

Onida 40 iTube Smart LED TV served me well for the past 5 years, till its panel went kaput.

Image result for onida lcdchoosing what my next tv would be was a tiresome process, my most imp need was it should be 55 or above inches and should have 3d, sadly no current TVs in the 55 inch+ range having 3d are available and I needed to buy a 4k tv for this. So into the market, I ended up shortlisting the sony 55inch x85c series, the Samsung 55h7500 and log 55uf850t. Having read a lot of reviews here on mouth shut and other places about Oneida panel issues made me not want to go with it and so the first tv I demoed was the log, its interface was amazing but the picture quality did not go well with me, next was the Samsung a beautiful tv, great interface but sadly at a price tag of 2.39l and with no offers or freebies was a put down other than the curved screen, the sales rep wasn't even interested in giving any discounts, and then I decided lets go with a sony, they offer a 2 years extended warranty at a cost over the complimentary one year and the sales guy at the Onida store was ready to offer a good buy back and a good discount and impact asked me to wait a few days till they start their festival offer.
The TV purchased for Rs. 20, 000 now requires 16, 000 in repairing, experience the surprising fact. Even after continuous contact, I remained response less. Even I sent a speed post to the Core Administrators, including the founder Chairman of Onida, Mr. Gulu Mirchandani, but nothing has been materialized yet.
The offer included a ps3 12gb which served no purpose as I already own a ps3 500gb and a pair of 3d glasses, fair enough after a bit of negotiation he was ready to give me a ps4 and keep the ps3 after I paid the difference and so the deal was closed. the sales rep was a very informed guy and explained the tv in detail, the tv was delivered the next noon and the installation was done an hour later.

First impressions were the tv is one good looker on powering up it took a while and it was normal since it was its first boot. The setting was a breeze, the initiate picture settings were the best and I had to spend a good 20-30 mins calibrating it to my liking. I must say the interface is a bit frustrating for the first few times and home screen I wish would've been arranged better rather than having to scroll through the screen to get what you want.
